Ponytail walks to her basketball game...

Last but not least,
my first proper-ish animation made under the watchful eye of Lianne Zannier,
while at Struts.

I forgot to do this on the last 'last post', so let me do it now,

www.hazelmeyer.com
a place to visit that will probably not alleviate ulcers and/or muscle cramps, but potentially ennui.

Visit Walls to the Ball in May 2012 at Artspace in Peterborough!

until then,

Pachinko & Farewell Co.

It was in Upper Sackville that I discovered the world of Pachinko in Sackville's only underground Pachinko parlour, a fine place indeed. This here cake was decorated by the proprietor Pierre, as a most delectable farewell treat. Go here for an introduction to Pachinko, Wenders style.

CHEER SQUAD, featuring Elli & Andrew

design feature v. design flaw

a sharp punch to the net's baby ball bump becomes a much sought after gesture to macrame-ball

TEAM- the few names I remember, from left to right, Braden, Andreas, fellow from Montréal, fellow from Halifax, Hazel, fellow from Halifax, fellow from Montréal, Andy
After the group pic some of the fellows pull off their shirts, allowing for a cool breeze on their chest, but seriously ruining our team identification strategy, that being black shirts against everything else. Arf.

I was warned of the Sackville panty snatcher and told NOT to leave my laundry alone, so, I stayed with my laundry as it was laundering at the local laundromat and noticed the small and faded laundry machine rules wall signs, and thought how easy it would be to make bigger, bolder signs, I like painting text, I do, so I did, and put them back up, with loops of masking tape, I took some pictures as it is nice to remember these gestures that are something and hardly anything all at once.

OK QUOI?!

Click this & read the article
On Thursday 28th from 1-4pm at Struts I will be giving a workshop called
Anni Albers & Dirk Nowitzki walk into a bar... crafting fantastical basketball nets
It will be part talk, part marcamé tutorial, part sweatshop & part b-ball game with the newly made net.

*as a side note, after reading the article from the Times & Transcript, I must say, I really must say, that it is SO insanely annoying to read one's own words in an article without proper credit being given. I don't understand, do journalists/writers of newspaper articles think they can freely lift from artist statements as though it wasn't written by anyone, as though the universe produced it, and it doesn't require props of any kind!? Baaaaaaaaad form people, bad form!
